Suzanne Taluy, LCSW, CCTP
I am someone who will work just as hard for you as you will for yourself. I believe strongly in the therapeutic alliance and I consider the client to be the expert in understanding themselves. My role is to guide, support, and help you find answers.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I’ve been in the field of mental health and addiction for over six years, and I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
I became interested in psychotherapy because I really enjoy connecting with people in a way that enhances personal growth while teaching them skills essential to overcome different obstacles in life. Throughout my experience in the field, trauma became a re-occurring theme, and I felt it was essential for my own personal and professional growth to become trauma-informed and work to understand its impact on a deeper level.
I received training in Forward-Facing Trauma Therapy (FFTT) through the Arizona Trauma Institute, which focuses on healing trauma through self-regulation. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, both approaches challenge negative thinking and help the client modify behavior through self-awareness and mindfulness techniques. Through my experience and training, I am now able to offer the tools I have learned which will benefit clients not only struggling with PTSD, but addiction, anxiety, OCD, and mood disorders as well.
