Donna VanderPoel is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker specializing in clinical therapy. With 10 years of experience in the field, she has developed a profound understanding of the complexities of the human mind and the impact of mental health on individuals and their relationships.


As a former educator, Donna holds a Master's degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Fairfield University. She is also an active member of NASW.


Driven by a genuine desire to help others, Donna adopts a holistic, strength based, person centered approach to therapy. She believes in creating a safe and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their thoghts, emotions, and experiences. By employing evidence based therapuetic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused CBT, and psychodynamic therapy, she collaboratively works with inidividuals to develop effective coping strategies and facilitate personal growth.


Donna has extensive experience working with diverse populations across a range of mental health concerns. This includes anxiety disorders, depression, trauma related issues, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and life transitions (career changes, divorce, and retirement).


Her mission is to create positive change one client at a time, fostering resilience and well-being in the face of adversity.
