Patrice King, LCSW
Licensed Clinicial Social Worker
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York and Connecticut with a background in behavioral health leadership, child advocacy, and individual psychotherapy. I earned my master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and have extensive experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, connection, and feeling truly heard. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you can slow down, explore what feels difficult, and gain a deeper understanding of your experiences. Together, we can work toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being.
My approach is strengths-based, individualized, and guided by your needs, goals, and pace. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, and Person-Centered therapies. I also recognize the important role that culture, identity, family history, and life experiences play in shaping our perspectives and relationships. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, catching up on shows, and being outdoors.
